District 11 Code Amendment

Curtin of Cutler Lane argued the proposed District 11 area should stay District 8, saying the Comprehensive Plan doesn't allow residential housing there and traffic would worsen. She urged the Commission to recommend Council not approve the changes and told citizens to contact their Council representatives.

Speaking for the Hudson Heritage Association, Meldrom said the question is whether the City will uphold the Comprehensive Plan, which recommends a light-industrial base for the Darrowville Corridor. He urged Council to honor the Plan's intent as a ten-year community vision.

Newman of Stonebridge Court noted the Comprehensive Plan's mixed-use reference applies to an area far outside the proposed District 11 and said many residents didn't understand the development's potential scale. She asked that zoning changes stay closely aligned with the Plan.
